Black, Indigenous, & Trans of Color Histories Lab
Funded through the Mellon Higher Learning Initiative, the Black, Indigenous, and Trans of Color Histories Lab is a public history project dedicated to historywork by, for, and about trans people of color. As the Administrative Lead (2025-26) and Events Co-Lead (2024-27), I primarily support our in-person events from development to implementation. Below are a selection of events that I have organized through the Lab. For a more robust register of our work, please click here.

San Francisco Leather and LGBTQ Cultural District
Grant Writer: Founded in 2018, the LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District promotes the sociocultural and economic life of San Francisco’s South of Market Neighborhood. As a volunteer grants writer, I assisted the District in developing language around its programs and initiatives to secure funding in a grantmaking landscape that has become increasingly competitive for/hostile towards underrepresented communities. Through these efforts, we successfully secured multiple grants at the local and national levels.
Kink & Draw: Under the direction of artist and museum professional Russell Ihrig, I assist in the production of Kink & Draw: a quarterly life drawing and kink education program. Each edition invites practitioners from a variety of queer subcultures to discuss best practices within their respective communities. The discussion/Q&A is followed by a life drawing session. For more information, please join the District mailing list.
Coletivo das Liliths
Founded in 2012 at the Federal University of Bahia, Coletivo das Liliths (Collective of Liliths) is a LGBTQIAPN+ artist collective based in Salvador da Bahia. The collective has played an integral role in the development of After Dark: Sexual Ecologies of North-Northeast Brazil; during a seven month convivência, we conducted ethnographic interviews across nine different states in the North-Northeast region of Brazil. Selections from our ongoing collaborations can be found below.
